A bit about myself

Forming close bonds with the dogs I grew up with pointed me in the direction of a career as a veterinary surgeon. Over the years I’ve developed a passion to educate dog lovers on various topics to enhance the health and longevity of their dogs, which in turn would allow them to live happy, adventure-filled lives together. Below is a quick insight into my career so far.
After 5 challenging but enjoyable years of studying at the University of Edinburgh, I graduated as a veterinary surgeon.
Shortly thereafter, I decided to help the Military Working Dogs in the British Army by commissioning as a Veterinary Officer for a number of years. During that time I achieved post-graduate qualification in Advanced Veterinary Practice.
Upon leaving the Army, I took the plunge to undertake an Emergency and Critical Care course and work as an emergency vet. Thereafter, I accepted a position as a Senior Vet in a rural veterinary practice in Southern England. I now concentrate on this blog and wildlife conservation in East Africa.
